In this role, you will be responsible for transporting meals from CookUnity facilities to customers' locations while ensuring excellent customer service. You are required to have your own vehicle in working order with the minimum insurance as required by your state of registration. You must own a smart phone, be able to use a delivery platform and submit proof of delivery as required. Training will be provided. The ideal candidate will have experience in delivery driving and possess the ability to handle lifting and loading of perishable items. CookUnity focuses on delivering chef-prepared meals to busy individuals. Contractors are paid per each successful delivery. Rates vary per region. Duties Include: Safely operate personal delivery vehicle while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Load and unload goods efficiently using manual handling techniques. Navigate assigned routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries and pickups. Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with clients and recipients. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any discrepancies or issues encountered. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation. Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including returning carts to designated location and placing used bags in bins where applicable. Qualifications: Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a courier role is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients. Ability to lift heavy packages (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks related to moving goods. Knowledge of route driving techniques and local area navigation is beneficial. Warehouse experience is advantageous for assisting with loading and unloading tasks.
