Our Housekeepers are essential team members who maintain the overall appeal of our apartment community while displaying warm, friendly personalities. Our housekeepers take pride in maintaining the cleanliness and appeal of our properties common areas for current and future residents. This is a great opportunity for those with general janitorial or cleaning experience to build a career with plenty of room for growth on the Fairfield Property Management Team. This position reports to our on-site Community Manager. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO IN THIS ROLE: PROPERTY CURB APPEAL Perform daily property walks to keep the property looking clean and tidy. Work independently to clean all common areas, including but not limited to, workout areas, pool(s), laundry facilities, leasing office, elevators, clubhouse, mailroom, and public restrooms. Maintain cleanliness of common areas by cleaning windows, washing and waxing hard surface flooring, vacuuming and washing carpets and rugs, cleaning tile grout, etc. OPERATIONS Ensure adequate inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, notifying the supervisor when supplies are needed. CUSTOMER SERVICE & COMMUNICATION Listen and respond to the needs of residents and staff members, escalating communication as necessary to a supervisor. Willingly and consistently share observations and insights of departmental operations that may improve quality and efficiencies of the department. Attend all-employee and departmental meetings and in-service training as directed. Update the Service Manager with status of work and communicate any potential liabilities including damage to grounds, facilities, supplies or equipment. Work with the maintenance team to clean vacant apartments in preparation for new resident move-ins. COMPLIANCE & SAFETY Perform duties in accordance with all safety and OSHA requirements. Ensure that policies and procedures as well as safety and compliance expectations are met. WHAT YOU WILL NEED ON DAY ONE: High school diploma or equivalent is required Minimum one year of experience as a Housekeeper or similar position is preferred. Ability to speak and understand English. General computer knowledge. Knowledge of and ability to use standard cleaning equipment, tools, and chemicals. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail, organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently. Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings, and some holidays as necessary. #LI-NICOLE Estimated Rate of Pay: $17.38 - $19.24 This position is non-exempt; the range above reflects hourly rates.
