Lancaster Farm Fresh Organics is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic delivery drivers to join our team. We haul for a non-profit farmer's cooperative of 120 farms- predominantly organic produce, but also meat, dairy and dry goods. Job Requirements: -ability to drive larger vehicles through urban settings -dedication and enthusiasm -whatever-it-takes attitude -excellent organizational skills -excellent customer service skills -ability to pass a criminal background check and a drug screen -clean driving history is a must -ability to lift up to 60 pounds repeatedly throughout the day -DOT regulations specify that commercial motor vehicle drivers must be at least 21 years of age We have year-round positions and seasonal positions. Generally, our routes start in the early morning hours, and we deliver to areas such as Philly, New York, New Jersey, Baltimore and DC areas. We do daily pickups from our local farmers as well. Some days are shorter, some days are longer. Experience driving a 26-foot box truck is preferred, along with a valid DOT card. Applicants without a DOT card must be able to pass a DOT physical. CDL drivers are encouraged to apply. We have several Class B trucks in addition to our straight trucks. A tractor trailer is on the horizon. Overtime is often available, particularly between May and October. This is a physically demanding job with a lot of loading and unloading using handcarts and pallet jacks. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients during deliveries. Maintain accurate delivery records and ensure timely completion of all routes. Adhere to all traffic regulations and company policies while driving. Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
