Porter/Super sought to work PART-TIME in three residential buildings on the Upper West Side and to live in one of the three buildings FULL-TIME. Duties include: -keeping common areas / public parts of buildings clean at all times, -taking care of gathering, sorting and putting out garbage, recycling and composting for collection, -cleaning, sweeping and mopping all common areas / public parts, -maintaining cleanliness of sidewalks and curbs including snow and ice removal, -cleaning gutters, -changing lightbulbs, -adjusting and regulating heating, -closing and opening plumbing valves, -communicating with tenants and management, identifying and reporting issues to management and liaising between tenants and management concerning such matters as maintenance or repair requests and administrative issues, -being first to respond to emergencies until situation is stable, -providing access to apartments, basements or other areas of properties for servicepeople, -routinely inspecting basements, roofs, common areas, vacant apartments and heating plant -maintaining logs Must be available 24 hours per day on working days in the event of an emergency or other urgent matter. There are six work days each week from Sunday mid-morning to Saturday mid-morning. Must be able to work legally in the United States. Must be reliable, trustworthy, responsible and fit. The three buildings are within walking distance of each other. Porter/Super receives an apartment (utilities included) in one of the three buildings as part of the compensation package together with a monthly salary.
