MG REMEDIATION INC We are an established environmental construction company located in San Leandro, CA, with a second location in Southern California. We are currently seeking motivated and hardworking individuals to join our team. Our projects span across the Los Angeles Municipal area, and we are looking for team members to help us deliver high-quality service in environmental construction. Abatement workers remove asbestos and lead containing building materials from residential and commercial structures, particularly older properties that are being renovated/demolished or are being repaired due to some sort of catastrophe (fire/water damage). The work involves cleaning and demolition activities while wearing personal protective equipment in a contained work environment. Daily tasks include: Traveling your own vehicle to one or two local job sites. Constructing containment areas prior to beginning abatement or decontamination work. Removing hazardous building materials from surfaces, structures, or equipment using hand or power tools. Cleaning work areas, tools and equipment. Loading or unloading materials or waste into containers or onto trucks Qualifications and Experience: -Preferred experience in in the building trades, especially demolition, HVAC, water mitigation, or mold remediation. -Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions. -Ability to work in confined areas in extreme temperatures. -Ability to perform heavy physical work over prolonged periods. -Ability to comprehend and follow the safety procedures required to handle asbestos-containing materials. -Ability to work in safety clothing and respiratory equipment. -Ability to use the tools, materials and equipment used in general construction work. *Must be able to pass a physical examination as required by state and federal regulations at the time of appointment. *It’s a Must possess a AHERA Asbestos Worker or Supervisor Certification Job Type: Full-time Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Matching Health Insurance Sick Pay Days Vacation paid Schedule: Monday to Friday Typical start time: 7AM-9AM Typical end time: 4PM-5:30PM Overtime Experience: Abatement: 1 year (Required) Work Location: Multiple locations This Job Is: A good fit for applicants with gaps in their resume, or who have been out of the workforce for the past 6 months or more A good job for someone just entering the workforce or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education **To Apply:** - Call 510-293-3009 or email us to schedule a time for an application and brief interview. - Please bring at least 3 references, a photo ID, and any relevant certifications to the interview.
