Position: Heavy Equipment Operator We’re looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our crew. The ideal candidate has solid experience with excavation, grading, trenching, and utility installation. ✅ Steady winter work – we keep our crews busy year-round ✅ Prevailing wage projects available ✅ Competitive pay based on experience ✅ Full benefits package, including health insurance and sick leave ✅ Strong emphasis on safety and team culture Responsibilities Operate excavators, loaders, dozers, backhoes, and other heavy equipment Perform site prep, trenching, grading, and backfill Read and interpret plans or grade stakes Work with foremen and labor crews to complete daily tasks Follow all safety policies and procedures Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience operating heavy equipment in excavation or civil construction Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required) Knowledge of jobsite safety and trench regulations Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Reliable, punctual, and a team player Preference for person with the following certifications: Competent Person – Excavation, Trenching & Shoring (29 CFR 1926 Subpart P), OSHA 10, Confined Space Awareness (29 CFR 1910.146), Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Awareness, Hazard Communication (HAZCOM / GHS)
