We’re seeking a reliable, hands-on, and detail-oriented Studio & Operations Assistant to work directly with the Studio Manager, supporting the operations of contemporary artist large-scale studio practice as well as two affiliated businesses: a design and fabrication studio, and e commerce brand. This is a part time role approximately 20 hours a week This is a unique opportunity to learn how the worlds of fine art, fabrication, and product design intersect — perfect for someone who enjoys physical work, values organization, and wants to grow their skills in a creative, fast-paced environment. What You’ll Do * Directly Assist the Studio Manager: Support day-to-day operations to free up time for creative development and fabrication. * Studio Organization & Maintenance: Keep all spaces clean, organized, and efficient — sweeping, mopping, taking out trash, breaking down boxes, and ensuring that every tool and material has a place. * Artwork Handling & Packing: Safely move, pack, and transport artworks with care and precision. * Inventory & Logistics: Track inventory, pack boxes, create shipping labels, coordinate FedEx drop-offs, and receive materials. * Heavy Lifting & Equipment Use: Assist with moving heavy objects and operate equipment such as pallet jacks, dollies, and cranes. * Basic Fabrication, Finishing & Construction: Work with coatings, paint, steel, and wood, and use a range of power tools (hand drill, drill press, miter saw, jigsaw, sander, etc.) (some training provided). * Errands & Local Runs: Use your own vehicle to pick up materials, make deliveries, and run local errands. Daily access to a reliable car is required; a pickup truck is ideal. * Installation Support: Assist with on-site installation and breakdown of inflatable or large-scale works for clients, which may include corporate events or private commissions. * Social Media Participation: Occasionally appear in behind-the-scenes content for social platforms. Who You Are Highly organized, dependable, and proactive. Handy and experienced with power tools. Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and working in both air-conditioned and non-climate-controlled warehouse environments. Naturally detail-oriented and careful around high-value artworks and materials. Eager to learn and contribute to projects across fine art, design, and product development. Have daily access to a reliable vehicle (pickup truck ideal).
