Job Summary: We’re seeking kind, reliable individuals to assist a creative and resilient with daily tasks. This flexible, part-time role is open to anyone willing to learn and contribute meaningfully. Ideal candidates are compassionate, efficient, and value open communication. About the Role: This position involves 5 daily shifts to support a catheterization program. You may select any/all, tailoring your schedule to what works for you. The catheterization itself takes only 10 minutes, but caregivers are typically in the home for 20–45 minutes to provide additional support, fostering independence and self-actualization. An individual may work anywhere between 2 - 4 days a week and there is an option to stay up to 2 - 4 hours at a time. Who We’re Looking For: Caregiving is a partnership where we work together to sustain independence and joy. It is also surprisingly tremendously straightforward, teachable, and something ANYONE can do/be/learn. We are a queer-friendly household! Nursing students, social work students, and compassionate individuals are encouraged to apply! Available daily shifts on standard schedule based on arrival times: 6:00–7:30 AM (longer due to morning prep and tasks) 9:00 AM - 11 AM (30 min - 2 hours) 2:00 PM (20–30 minutes) 5/6:00 PM (20–45 minutes) 9/10:00 PM - 10:30 PM (1 hour) 1:00 AM 4:00 AM I do have a private bedroom and bath becoming available October 1st for candidates interested in the live role: please express interest via text message, number below 👇 Additional Pay: $20 per shower session (30–60 minutes) $20 per standing frame session About Me: I (29F) work in nonprofit business administration for the arts and healthcare; I myself am an artist, musician, and published screenwriter. In 2020 I was hit by a car alongside four others while walking across a crosswalk. It was my senior year of college and I’m still trying to figure out so much to be fully participate to in society. Someone died and I was paralyzed from the chest down but I still work and go to school and make everything beautiful happen around me with a complex injury.
