Position Summary We are seeking a full‑time Small Engine Mechanic experienced in both commercial and residential equipment. The ideal candidate will be skilled in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining 2‑stroke and 4‑stroke engines and either already certified or eager to obtain certification (with employer support) ⏰ Hours & Scheduling Typically Mon–Fri, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Key Responsibilities Diagnose issues, perform tune‑ups, and maintain a variety of small engine equipment (e.g., lawn mowers, chainsaws, blowers, riding tractors, generators, zero turn mowers, stand on mowers) Conduct routine engine maintenance: oil & filter changes, spark plug and air filter replacements, blade sharpening, fluid adjustments, lubrication, pressure washing Troubleshoot mechanical, fuel, and electrical systems; adjust components to spec; replace worn parts; reassemble and test engines Communicate clearly with customers regarding diagnostics, needed repairs, estimates, and maintenance Keep meticulous records of diagnostics, repairs performed, parts used, and customer interactions Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace; adhere to safety standards and shop protocols Required Qualifications Proven experience servicing both commercial and residential small engine equipment. Proficiency with 2‑stroke and 4‑stroke engines . Capable of diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues Strong mechanical aptitude; dexterity and keen attention to detail Excellent customer service and communication skills Preferred Qualifications Certification in small engine repair (e.g., Equipment & Engine Training Council or manufacturer-specific). Fisette is willing to cover certification training costs Experience working with brands like Briggs & Stratton, Snapper, Stihl, Husqvarna, RedMax, Ferris, etc. Own hand tools commonly used in small engine repair (e.g., wrenches, compression gauges, voltmeters) Job Type: Full-time Ability to Commute Hudson, NH 03051 (Required) Work Location: In person
