Remote + Multi-site Travel  Reporting to nearest office location as needed 5 days per week - 8 hours + On Call Position Summary A Fuel Technician has a wide variety of skills and will be able to work through difficult problems. This person installs, maintains & repairs fuel dispensers; submersible fuel pumps; service station site controllers; credit card readers; cash register consoles; pumping PCW; tank & line monitoring equipment; various other types of equipment found in service station and convenience gas stations. Responsibilities and Duties: Work in a safe manner  Install troubleshooting and service convenience store networking, including running cable, programming routers, and establishing connectivity to credit networks Install, calibrate, test fuel dispenser and associated equipment Install, program, and service point of sale systems for convenience stores Troubleshoot, repair, and service fuel dispenser and associated equipment Schedule and perform routine preventative maintenance and annual certification of fuel station equipment Read, interpret, and follow instructions and operations manuals Observe and comply with all company safety policies and procedures Perform the job duties in a safe and sensible manner in accordance with all company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations When necessary, respond to emergency repairs and provide after-hours support needed The job description isn’t intended to reflect all duties that may be required, and there are other duties and responsibilities that may be required, based on business need and overall function of the position.  Perform service calls as needed on an after-hours basis Education and Qualifications Maintenance Technician Experience Valid driver’s license HS Diploma or Equivalent Preferred Knowledge of safety practices and procedures Gilbarco Fueling System Preferred Wayne Fueling System Preferred Veeder- Root System Preferred Verifone Systems Preferred ICC certifications Preferred  Skill Set  Ability to read, write, speak and understand English fluently. Key Responsibilities: Maintenance: Perform full vehicle inspections & routine tasks such as changing oil, checking fluid levels, sometimes tire rotation. Inspection & Diagnostics: Use computerized diagnostic tools and knowledge of vehicles systems to identify problems. Repair: Replace or repair worn or faulty parts, including brake pads, sensors and suspension components. Understand and repair various vehicle systems, such as engine, transmission, braking, and AC. Communicate about vehicle issues and maintain records on maintenance and repairs. Essential skills: Good understanding of how vehicle parts and systems work together. Must have ability to use a variety of hand tools, power tools. Must be to perform tasks that involve bending, reaching and lifting. You must be willing and able to learn new things.
