MECHANIC SMALL ENGINE (STIHL/ECHO/REDMAX) (West Kendall)

2M Equipment is a full-service dealership providing comprehensive commercial power equipment services. We are currently seeking an Experienced Small Engine Mechanic to join our team. This role is crucial in maintaining our equipment in optimal condition through independent diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repairs. If you have experience, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for mechanics, we want to hear from you! Qualifications: • MINIMUM 2 years of professional experience as a small engine mechanic • Clean Florida state driver's license • Must be able to speak, read, and write in both English and Spanish • Experience diagnosing and repairing issues with 2-cycle and 4-cycle engines from brands such as Bobcat, Stihl, Scag, Echo, and other 2-cycle and 4-cycle equipment including blowers, edgers, trimmers, etc. • Clear understanding of proper testing, disassembly, rebuilding, and replacement procedures for parts • Knowledge of maintenance tasks including filters, clean fuel, spark plugs, component cleaning, sharpening, lubrication, etc. • Experience performing preventive maintenance on brands such as Bobcat, New Holland, Kubota, and similar equipment like skid steers, trenchers, mini excavators, etc. is a plus! Proper training will be provided to the right candidate • Welding and/or fabricating parts for repairs is a plus! • Ability to endure Florida weather conditions and physical stamina to work full days, including constant hand use, lifting, and overhead work. Responsibilities: • Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire changes, and others on small engines. • Evaluate equipment condition and make repair recommendations. • Ensure all equipment is clean, well-maintained, and in good working order. • Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for each task. • Safety ALWAYS FIRST!
