Beekeeper Position (Captain Cook)

Our family has raised bees in Northern California for more than 50 years, producing premium queens and package bees for beekeepers across the US and Canada. With locations here on the Big Island and as well as in Montana. We deliver the highest quality bees and the best customer service because beekeeping is more than just our livelihood — it's our life. Big Island Queens is seeking motivated beekeepers to join our growing team in the Captain Cook area! We are looking for beekeepers to maintain hives by feeding, medicating, preparing them for pollination, and honey production. If you are interested in or have experience with bees, our company gives you the opportunity for personal development and the ability to grow within the company. Qualifications/Requirements: • Minimum of two years of commercial beekeeping experience is preferred but willing to train in the skills of beekeeping. • Self-motivator and the ability to work in a team environment is a plus. • Positions are Full-Time, salary based on experience. • Advancement opportunities are available. • Prior work history and references required. • Candidates with a valid, insurable driver's license preferred but not required. • Must have the ability to work well in teams and lift up to 51 lbs. • Being able to work long hours in different terrains and weather conditions required.
