Identify and document non-conformances during the inspection process. Verify that all fabricated materials meet the specifications outlined in shop drawings. Perform both in-process and final inspections to ensure dimensional accuracy and proper part placement. Participate in annual AISC QC Audits and contribute to organization-wide quality goals. Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot and resolve quality-related issues. Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience in steel layout and fabrication. AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification is required. Proficient in reading and interpreting fabrication and construction drawings. Strong knowledge of structural steel standards; familiarity with D1.1/D1.5 codes preferred. Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills. Strong problem-solving ability and collaborative mindset. Commitment to continuous improvement and high-quality outcomes. This position requires the use of PPE including steel toe work boots, hard hat, gloves, high visibility vest, and protective eyeglasses.
