Role Overview The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all phases of residential construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. This role bridges the gap between clients, architects, designers, subcontractors, and field crews—managing schedules, budgets, site operations, and communication. Qualifications -7+ years of residential construction project management experience (high-end preferred), with at least 3 years in a supervisory role. -Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, codes, sequencing, and Bay Area Building practices. -Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and complex scopes of work. -Skilled in reading and executing complex architectural plans. -Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. -Proficiency with project management software (Buildertrend or similar). -Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. -OSHA certification preferred. -Must currently reside in Bay Area. Anticipate and resolve conflicts in design, schedule, or logistics. Manage client and designer communications, providing clear updates and documentation. This role involves working on a range of hardscape installations including stone walls, patios, walkways, steps, veneers, and other custom masonry features. The Senior Mason plays a key role in ensuring that projects meet the highest standards of quality while mentoring less experienced team members in proper masonry techniques. The Senior Mason works closely with the Project Manager and Division Manager to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with MainStay’s reputation for excellence. Key Responsibilities Masonry Expertise & Execution • Perform advanced masonry work including layout, cutting, fitting, and setting stone, brick, block, and veneer. • Lead the installation of patios, walkways, retaining walls, steps, outdoor kitchens, fireplaces, and other custom stone features. • Operate masonry tools and equipment safely and efficiently, including saws, mixers, grinders, and compactors. • Ensure proper site preparation, grading, and drainage for all masonry projects.
