You’ll gain exposure to cross-functional collaboration, workflow optimization, and stakeholder communication—while building the foundational skills of a successful project leader. As an intern, you will work with an Athena team that is engaged with leading firms and clients across a multitude of sectors. You will have the opportunity to add real value and take ownership of key projects in your field, coupled with significant training and professional development opportunities. About the Program The Athena internship program immerses interns in a collaborative, cross-functional environment where they work closely with teams across Creative, Marketing, Events, Operations, and Data Analytics, gaining exposure to how departments align to bring projects to life. Our Capstone Project allows interns to collaborate and contribute to real-world initiatives by presenting their proposal to internal stakeholders. Interns are mentored through weekly managerial check-ins and executive support. Athena fosters a culture of support, curiosity, connection, and inclusivity, which allows interns to shine. Our internship program begins in June 2026 and is a part-time opportunity to join the organization for the summer. Requirements What you'll be responsible for: Assist in the development and maintenance of project timelines, task trackers, and status reports. Participate in internal and client-facing meetings, capturing notes and action items. Support the coordination of deliverables across departments including Creative, Marketing, and Events. Help identify project risks and propose mitigation strategies. Contribute to process improvement initiatives and documentation. It's a plus if you have: Prior experience working directly with clients or supporting brand activations. Leadership experience through extracurricular activities, volunteer work, or team-based activities. Exposure to marketing, brand strategy, or social media planning. Familiarity with business analytics and KPI reporting. Proficiency in Excel and project management tools such as MS Project, Airtable, or Asana. Benefits Paid Experience: Interns are compensated at $20/hour, with biweekly pay throughout the nine-week program. Flexible Scheduling: Interns are expected to work 20–30 hours per week, ideally on a consistent schedule. Hours are coordinated with managers to allow flexibility within the weekly limit. In-Person Engagement: This is an on-site internship based in Philadelphia, designed to provide immersive, real-world experience in a collaborative office environment. Professional Exposure: Interns gain hands-on experience with client-facing work, learning key skills in professionalism, communication, and public relations. Capstone Project: All interns participate in a Capstone Project, where they collaborate across departments to research and pitch a new client opportunity to Athena’s senior leadership and CEO. Cultural Experiences: Interns enjoy company outings that showcase Philadelphia’s culture and community—past events have included visits to the Philadelphia Museum of Art and Citizens Bank Park. Position Overview: Collaborate with the project management team to plan, organize, and oversee construction projects from initiation to completion. Assigned Responsibilities: Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, promoting a safe working environment on the construction site. Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress, ensuring adherence to project specifications and quality standards and assist with field supervision. Assist in developing comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation. Manage all project documentation, including submittals, requests for information, contracts, change orders, and progress reports. Manage the procurement process, including obtaining quotes, negotiating contracts, tracking long lead deliverables, and building relationships with suppliers and subcontractors. Utilize project management software to track project metrics, update project status, and facilitate communication within the project team. Monitor project progress, identifying and addressing issues in a timely manner to ensure project timelines and budgets are met. Coordinate with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients, to ensure clear communication and alignment on project goals. Support the resolution of construction-related issues, conflicts, and changes in scope, including the submittal and negotiation of contract changes/proposals with subcontractors and/or the owner. Provide support to the project manager in coordinating and leading project meetings. Additional duties as assigned. Requirements B.S Construction Management / Engineering and / or 3-5 years general construction experience required. Proven understanding of construction processes, project management principles, and building codes. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work independently, take initiative, solve problems, and make decisions in a dynamic construction environment. Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to motivate and collaborate with team members. Travel to project sites may be required. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Account Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing important client accounts, building relationships, and acting as the client’s key point of contact. You will oversee client communications, address inquiries, and ensure that clients are satisfied with the services provided, ensuring long-term retention and loyalty. Hybrid position based in San Diego, CA. Key Responsibilities Manage client relationships. Serve as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met and addressing any issues that arise. Collaborate with internal teams to meet client needs. Maintain account records. Keep detailed records of client interactions, project progress, and account updates. Identify growth opportunities. Spot opportunities for upselling or cross-selling services to existing clients, adding value to their accounts. Collaborate with internal teams. Work with sales, marketing, and product teams to ensure that client expectations are met and deliverables are aligned with client goals. Monitor performance and reporting. Track account performance metrics, report on key outcomes, and suggest areas for improvement. Qualifications Proven experience as an account manager or in a similar client-facing role. 3+ years of experience in account management, sales, or customer service. Strong understanding of client relationship management, sales, and business development. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple client accounts and prioritize tasks. Must be able to work independently, take initiative and be resourceful with minimal supervision. Proficiency in Salesforce, ClickUp or Odoo a plus A degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
