Our Mega Site located in Bolingbrook Illinois is a state-of-the art, clean, air-conditioned facility running three shifts. Job Summary: We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented individuals to join the G+D team as Secure Production Operators III in our secure Bolingbrook, IL facility. We have two shifts available. 1st shift will work Monday through Friday 6am-2pm. 2nd shift will operate Monday through Friday 2pm-10pm. This role involves handling sensitive materials and operating complex machinery for the production of high-security items. Duties & Essential Job Functions: Operate and maintain the machine, ensuring high-quality production of secure product. Follow strict security protocols to handle sensitive materials and personal data. Perform routine machine checks and maintenance to ensure optimal operation and identify any issues. Collaborate with the quality assurance team to uphold product standards and identify any defects. Document production processes and maintain accurate records of materials used and products produced. Assist in troubleshooting machine issues and coordinate with technical support for complex problems. Access daily work files from the workstations on the production floor. Help in delivering the correct materials to each workstation in order to meet production goals for the shift. Monitor inventory levels of materials required to complete jobs and alert manager if stock is not adequate for the day's production. Run daily production as trained and directed for highly secure personalization on mailing machines. Perform basic data entry into Excel as needed. Relay issues and concerns to Operations Manager for HSA department. Follow and comply with policies, procedures, processes and general company information. Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies at all times. Required Skills & Qualifications: High School diploma or GED preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience operating advanced machinery. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve machine issues. Advanced understanding of the production process and quality standards. Ability to mentor and provide guidance to level one operators. Basic mechanical skills and ability to operate machinery. Must be willing to stand for the majority of the work day. Reason through problems involving set-up and operation. Must be able to pass a background check and drug test. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex procedures. Physical Requirements & Work Environment: Regular exposure to machinery noise; ear protection may be required. Fast-paced production floor requiring prolonged periods of standing and operation of machinery. Requires working on hard floor - regular standing, walking, bending, squatting, twisting and stooping. Requires the ability to lift 15 pounds with occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. Regular and consistent attendance, including overtime whether on a voluntary or mandatory basis. Requires visual acuity to operate a computer, read a computer screen, read policies and manuals. Requires manual dexterity to operate a computer, phone, fax, and scanner. Essential Duties • Operator molding and other production machines in a safe and efficient manner, notifying the lead or supervisor if there are any problems. Some troubleshooting skills are required. • Visually inspect parts and determine if they meet the acceptable quality limits. Conduct quality checks using measuring equipment. • Package parts as specified to ensure proper and safe handling of the product. • Log all rejects on the Attribute Charts. • Review the operator inspection procedure before taking over any job. • Label all boxes after packaging to ensure proper handling of parts. • Ability to use basic measuring Equipment. • Degate and trim parts as required using secondary machinery to accomplish. • Ability to perform secondary operations such as gluing, welding, trimming, and some assembly. • Ability to use part count scale. Required Education and Experience • High school diploma or GED equivalent. • Knowledge of various measuring equipment. • 6 months of consistent and recent work history Required Skills • Strong written/verbal communication • Good decision-making skills • Ability to work under time constraints with changing priorities. • Regular and predictable attendance. • Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time. • Basic math skills. • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. • Ability to work overtime as needed. • Basic PC and internet skills.
