Flex Truck Driver - Local Class A - Penske Logistics (South Windsor)
Job Description
Immediate Opportunities: Full-time Class A CDL Truck Drivers
âą Average $120000 annually
âą Travel required, up to 100 percent
What you will do:
âą This position requires the driver to travel regionally to work at various locations as needed
âą Perform multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies to automotive dealerships
âą Unload trailer using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages
âą Use scanner to scan products as they are unloaded and delivered
Schedule:
âą Dispatch times will vary depending on work assignment
âą Drivers can expect to be away from home 2 to 3 weeks per assignment
âą Drivers will travel to assigned location, and work from there for duration of work assignment

âą Late model, Penske maintained trucks

Qualifications:
âą CDL Class A required
âą Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
âą 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years
âą 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
âą In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency.
âą Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
âą This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.

âą The associate must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area.
