www.rockpmc.com The maintenance position is a full-time position to physically manage and maintain six apartment buildings consisting of 159 apartments in Phoenix, NY. Residency on-site and vehicle is required. Pay includes a two-bedroom apartment and utilities plus salary dependent upon abilities. General responsibilities include: daily maintenance of all common areas including halls, stairs, laundries, community room, office and entry foyers; all exterior maintenance including lawns, plant materials, walks, parking areas, snow removal and site lights; maintenance of solid waste collection facilities; engine maintenance on all ground equipment including snow blowers and lawn mowers; apartment restoration upon vacancies including painting, cleaning carpets, minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry and sheetrock repairs; cleaning and repairing appliances; and general response to daily tenant repair and personal emergency requests. The characteristics of the person we seek to fill this position include the following: good health, integrity and honesty, commitment to the position for an extended period of time, acceptable skill levels in all of the above mentioned areas of responsibility, ability to organize and schedule work requirements and to conduct same without immediate supervision, ability to think independently and creatively particularly in times of emergency, empathy for the needs of the elderly, ability to relate well to others and a willingness to accept a position that does not have a set schedule of hours.
