Expertise in backend programming languages such as Java, and frameworks like SpringBoot. Deep understanding of JVM, multithreading programming, and performance optimization. Extensive experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, OCI) and cloud-based databases (e.g., MongoDB, SQL databases). Proficiency in distributed systems, including middleware such as message queues. Advanced knowledge in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and modern backend technologies. Demonstrated capability in security best practices for cloud environments. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications: Proven track record with DevOps, serverless architectures, and SDN Software Controller Platforms. Experience with AI Ops and automation tools. Job Summary: Under the direction of the Assignments Supervisor, the Flagperson protects personnel and equipment while working on or near the tracks. The Flagperson uses various types of equipment, such as flags, whistles, discs, lights and two-way radios to ensure the safe passage of trains. The Flagperson duties primarily consist of three assignments, Switch Tender, Watchperson and Flagperson. The Switch Tender manipulates switches and signals train operators when proper switch alignment is provided. The Watchperson is charged with monitoring approaching trains and alerting work crews to clear the track of men and equipment.
