We are seeking a detail-oriented Secretary/Bookkeeper to join our team at a solo medical/surgical practice. The role is essential in providing administrative support and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a solid understanding of medical terminology and proficiency in various electronic health records. The individual is responsible for patient scheduling and front desk operations, handling medical billing, coding including CPT and ICD-10 coding. Insurance verification and authorizations will be required. Assisting in the preparation of patient care, sterilization of equipment as well as managing multi-line phone systems. You will be required to communicate with healthcare professionals as well as insurance companies and pharmacies. Please indicate if you are bi-lingual in Spanish. Scanning and faxing documents and providing responses to patient and physician emails is also an important aspect of this position. The position is from Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm.
