Concrete Floor labor (Miami)
General Property Construction is looking to hire a Concrete floor Laborer who performs physical tasks at construction sites to help install, finish, and repair concrete structures, which includes preparing the work area, setting forms, pouring and spreading concrete, installing rebar, and cleaning up the site. This entry-level role requires physical stamina, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work in various weather conditions, with skills learned through on-the-job training.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Site Preparation:
Demolish existing structures, clean and prepare work sites, and dig trenches.
• Form Work:
Assist in building, setting up, and removing forms for concrete projects like sidewalks, curbs, and footings.
• Material Handling:
Pour, spread, and smooth concrete using tools like trowels and screeds.
• Reinforcement:
Install steel bars or mesh (rebar) to reinforce the concrete within the forms.
• Finishing:
Apply finishing coats, treatments, or sealants to the concrete surfaces as the project requires.
• Tool Operation:
Use various hand and power tools, including cement mixers, concrete saws, and air hammers.
• Site Cleanliness:
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the jobsite, tools, and equipment.
• Safety:
Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
