Essential Duties & Responsibilities Understand and interpret router files Oversee cutting strategies to maintain precise cutting and bit life Strategize the best use of new and remnant materials Load and unload sheet goods onto router bed Clean, trim, deburr, and collate finished pieces Maintain machines according to the maintenance schedule Communicate problems and progress to technical management Assist other departments when time allows Maintain a safe work environment Requirements Pass drug screening and background check requirements Carpentry shop experience in scenic or production industries Proficient with tools and construction materials Team oriented, collaborative work ethic Ability to work in fast paced environment Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to work overtime Repetitive use of feet and hands Ability to lift 100 Ibs. repeatedly Ability to push and pull upwards of 10 lbs. repeatedly While performing duties of this job, would occasionally be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, talk and hear, and use fingers and hands to feel objects, tools or controls. Education Requirements Associates degree from a 2-year college or technical school preferred Work Environment Is exposed to excessive noise Is around moving machinery Is exposed to marked changes in temperature and/or humidity Is exposed to dust Wearing of safety clothing and equipment may at times be required.
