Autonomously participate throughout all phases of the software development lifecycle while guiding Quantitative Researchers and Traders through the creation and implementation of automated system software solutions that leverage sophisticated statistical techniques and technologies. Analyze Quantitative Researchers and Traders needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of new features and enhance existing trading strategies by combining quantitative and programming expertise; leverage advanced mathematical techniques, experience with data analysis/data analysis technologies, and experience with object oriented programming skills (in C++, Java, or C#) to design, develop, and deliver high-performance production code, new features, and enhancements to existing trading strategies; research, design and develop heavily computational algorithms and technical design specifications; Find, investigate, and resolve user and application problems by developing best practices and technical solutions for the team; provide training for new procedures and develop an understanding of the relevant aspects of the business domain. Work with quantitative researchers and traders to develop new features and enhance existing trading strategies by combining quantitative and programming expertise; Focus on functional and numerical testing throughout the entire software development lifecycle; analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints; Monitor the status and functionality of systems; Resolve technical problems and provide guidance on how to improve business and technology solutions by employing software coding and programming skills; modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt it to new hardware or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance; independently solve business problems and enhance and extend front, middle and back office business capabilities of the firm by contributing to the development of innovative, advanced, stable systems. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or related discipline providing strong quantitative and analytical skills, plus five (5) years of progressive experience utilizing Python, C++, C#, or Java OR Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or related discipline plus two (2) years of progressive experience utilizing Python, C++, C#, or Java.
