Lead Painter / Crew Leader – Path to Project Manager Portland Painting & Restoration Inc. – Portland, OR $28–$30 per hour (DOE) – Full-time Portland Painting & Restoration Inc. (PPR) is looking for a skilled Lead Painter / Crew Leader ready to take the next step in their career. This position starts in the field leading crews — with the opportunity to advance into a Painting Project Manager role after proving strong leadership, communication, and job management skills. We’re seeking someone who’s mastered their trade, understands what quality work looks like, and is ready to help oversee larger projects and multiple crews in the near future. ________________________________________ About Us Since 2004, PPR has proudly served the Portland metro area, offering expert painting, carpentry, and historic restoration for both residential and commercial properties. We’re known for our high standards, lead-safe practices, and our commitment to protecting surfaces, relationships, and investments. ________________________________________ Your Role • Lead a professional painting crew through daily prep, application, and cleanup. • Ensure safe, clean, and efficient jobsite setup — including lead-safe containment when required. • Communicate daily with management and clients, providing updates and feedback. • Handle field problem-solving and coordinate with office and PM staff on solutions. • Maintain exceptional quality and detail — from prep to final walkthrough. • Model safety and professionalism on every job. • Opportunity to train directly with senior staff to grow into a Project Manager role once proven in the field. ________________________________________ Requirements • 5+ years experience as a Lead Painter, Foreman, or Crew Leader. • Deep understanding of painting systems, prep, primers, finishes, and safety protocols. • EPA Lead-Safe Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain). • Strong communication and organizational skills. • Clean driving record and reliable transportation. • Leadership mindset and ability to represent PPR’s quality and professionalism. • Bi-Lingual is a plus*(not required) ________________________________________ Compensation & Growth • Starting wage: $28–$30/hour DOE • Clear path to advancement into Project Manager position (after field evaluation) • PTO & 3% match IRA, after probationary period • Company vehicle and phone once promoted to PM • Ongoing training and certification support ________________________________________ If you’re ready to show your leadership in the field and grow into a management role, we’d love to hear from you. 👉 Apply at www.PaintPDX.com or email your resume to info@paintpdx.com.
