Forward thinking rock/indie/alt/post-metal/whatever (NW Suburbs)

I’m looking for another person or two for making original alt/indie/rock or maybe post-metal. More atmospheric stuff like Dream pop or shoegaze and the like are cool too. I listen to a wide range of music and hope we can all bring in a range of influences and create something fresh together. It’s got to start somewhere but I’d like it to end up as a unique statement, a blend of all our influences. Jamming, writing, recording, and maybe if lucky we can be performing too. I can cover guitar and bass mostly and have a quiet room to gather in here. I dabble in a few other instruments too. Recording of course is in the picture. I’m open to travel if you have better space, gear, or can support more obnoxious volume levels. I’m very open minded and looking for thrills—something novel. This isn’t a career move or sure fire rocket to the stars. Let’s start by having fun and entertaining ourselves. If we find meaning and joy then perhaps others will as well. Cool?
