Hallo Hallo: We are in search of a new roomie starting next month, hoping to show the place and chat with candidates between now and Wed the 15th. It's a spot in our four bedroom loft apartment (four people total, including you). Including your equal share of utilities (we split electric+internet evenly, 1/4 each), you should expect to pay something around $1225 monthly. A security deposit of one month's rent is required to secure the room, but the arrangement is month-to-month. That said: hoping to get a new, longer-term housemate. The room is opening up Nov 1st, so you would need to start paying rent and utilities then--even if your move-in date is later than that. We're technical and creative professionals (three guys, but all gender identities welcome) looking to add another person. We are vaccinated. There's no cigarette smoking or any animals allowed inside, and we prefer not to have a TV in the common area. We have 5 rooms and 4 residents, with 5th room used as a home office. The bedroom opening up is around 115 square feet (around 8 x 13) and optionally comes furnished (no charge/free) with a bed, and desk if you want 'em, but it's also potentially OK if you have your own stuff. It also has a built-in open closet type structure. One entire wall is mostly windows, east-facing, so you get greeted by the sun in the morning. If you take a look at the photos you'll also see that we have: -A Washer + Dryer in-unit -Lotsa hang space/couches -A mighty kitchen with two full-sized fridges and ample counter space -12 foot high ceilings -Windows in abundance -Ample Storage -Split bathroom (shower is a standalone/separate room) Note: we had a major renovation last year, so the utilities are also a bit of a mystery. We have a new heating system and an upgraded, high-voltage dryer outlet, so Con Ed may have a hefty surprise for us in the coming months. The amount listed is what we expect your total cost to be, rent AND utilities, but it could be more or less depending on your/our electricity use. The apartment is a huge, well-lit 1600 sq ft loft, 40 x 40 feet. The building borders Bushwick and East Williamsburg, is a five minute walk to the Morgan L, and eight minutes to the J / M / Z. We are a minute walk from two different Citibike stations. Our building is near cool dining, bars, breweries, galleries, coffee shops, nightlife and music venues. Everything you'd expect from trendy sorta-industrial Brooklyn. Please message here with some detailed info about yourself, what you do with your time, and why you need a room/what you're looking for.
