Trucking company needs Dispatcher/Broker with experience only (Melrose Park IL)

Looking for a dynamic role in the transportation and logistics industry? Join our fast-growing trucking company as a Transportation and Logistics Dispatcher/ Broker! The ideal candidate will have experience in booking loads, dispatching for multiple fleet vehicles, and possess outstanding negotiation abilities. Familiarity with load boards such as DAT 360 and Internet Truckstop and other boards is a must. Knowledge of DOT regulations for semi-trucks is a definite plus. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Communicate with truck drivers and customers via phone or email for dispatching - Relay work orders, reschedule routes, and assist drivers with inquiries - Track drivers’ locations and hours driven to ensure on-time freight appointments - Dispatch drivers on contracted loads, maximizing revenue-generating miles - Maintain relationships with customers, report issues promptly, and stay current on freight trends - Solicit new shippers, check broker creditworthiness, and pre-plan driver assignments - Bilingual skills are a plus but not required REQUIREMENTS: - Minimum 3 year of transportation experience preferred - Strong communication, negotiation, and time management skills - Ability to work under pressure and bring in new accounts HOURS & COMPENSATION: - Full-time position available immediately, Monday-Friday 7:00 am-3.30 pm If you have the skills and experience we are looking for, reply with your resume to be considered for this exciting opportunity in the transportation industry.
