ABOUT THE JOB: We are seeking dependable and compassionate Paratransit Drivers to provide safe and timely transportation for individuals with mobility needs. This role is critical in ensuring passengers reach their destinations comfortably and efficiently. Multiple shifts are available to fit your schedule. Available Shifts: Morning Shift: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM Afternoon Shift: 12:00 Noon – 6:00 PM Applicants must specify their preferred shift when applying. Key Responsibilities: Safely transport passengers to and from scheduled destinations. Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle, including those using mobility aids. Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance. Adhere to traffic laws and company policies. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with passengers, caregivers, and staff. Keep accurate records of trips and passenger information. Ensure vehicle cleanliness and report any maintenance needs. Requirements: Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required). Clean driving record. Ability to provide excellent customer service, especially to individuals with special needs. Ability to work the designated shift reliably. Our full time caregiver needs time off. We need someone for 7 days a month. The dates are flexible. We pay $800 per week and include food plus drive time allowance. Our mother Anna lives in a two bedroom one bath apartment that sits on 3 acres in a beautiful country setting 1 mile to lake Champlain New York. This property has lots of walking area, surrounded by woods and peacefulness. This is a very safe area. We do buy all the food for the house, and we can throw in a couple goodies. We have unlimited Wi-Fi. Of course we cover the electric propane yard and trash. It is preferred if your hometown is 3 to 4 hours away. We furnished the two-bedroom apartment for our mother very nicely. Living room has brand new sectional couch with large flat screen television. Both bedrooms are furnished with Queen size beds. One for you and one for Anna. The caregiver' s bedroom also has a nice TV in it. Anna has been living here for a few years. She is easy going and not hard to take care of. She is fully mobile, likes to eat food food, however her dementia has not caused her to be aggressive, on the other hand she is very very quiet. She is incontinent.
