Job description: Job Summary: Very established regional courier company with 200+ employees is looking for drivers to provide delivery and pick-up services to customers throughout Orange County, CA. We are an employee-based, essential business servicing Southern California for over 30 years with IMMEDIATE OPENINGS looking for YOU! Requirements: - Must have a Class A license. - Must be willing to work overnight schedule. - Ability to lift up to (but not limited to) 50 lbs. - Position does require loading/unloading product from trailer. - Must be willing to drive 53' trailer and 26' box truck - Must be willing to work Sunday 3:30pm - 2am & Tuesday-Thurs 6:30pm - 5:30am - Must be willing to keep other days open for possible flexed schedule opportunities. - Must have no restrictions on driver license. - MUST HAVE 3+ YEARS OF BEHIND THE WHEEL EXPERIENCE. - Must have Medical Exam Clearance form upon application. Compliance to safety regulations and proof of meeting all requirements are necessary for the position. Job Duties/Responsibilities: * Drives, loads, and unloads vehicles of various weights and types to and from appropriate delivery and storage points. * Inspects vehicles for proper operating condition in accordance with federal and State Department of Transportation requirements and District policy. * Checks freight being loaded and unloaded for agreement with shipping documents, records delivery discrepancies, and withhold delivery of damaged items. * Captures and records data using electronic or manual equipment such as handheld scanners. Education: * High school diploma or GED is not necessary for the position. Experience: * Class A commercial driver’s license. Requirements: * A satisfactory driving record as obtained from the California Department of Motor Vehicles. * A valid CA Driver License, Class A, to drive manual transmissions. Physical requirements: * Ability to safely pull, push, lift, and carry objects weighing up to 100 pounds. * Ability to safely negotiate stairs while lifting, pushing, and pulling materials to various delivery points. * Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time. * Ability to frequently bend, kneel, twist, and climb.
