The Maintenance Technician is responsible for preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance of heavy manufacturing equipment, foundry systems, and facility infrastructure. Key Responsibilities • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on foundry and metal fabrication equipment, including furnaces, overhead cranes, presses, grinders, welders, and ventilation systems. • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems to minimize downtime. • Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, and hot work protocols. • Maintain and repair facility infrastructure such as compressors, water treatment systems, and industrial exhaust systems. • Monitor equipment performance, maintain service records, and recommend improvements for reliability and efficiency. • Support foundry operations by responding quickly to breakdowns and coordinating repairs with production teams. • Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and technical drawings to guide repairs and installations. • Assist with installation and commissioning of new manufacturing and foundry equipment. • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
