Peaceful companion for canary (Hamline Midway)

I am looking for a peaceful small bird to be a companion to my canary. Despite everything written on the web this bird is lonely even trying to offer food to a mirror. I do not want to breed her. A male of another species would be best. She is a little over 1 year old. Let me know what you have available.
