Job Summary We are seeking an Experienced HVAC Technician with a strong background in service and maintenance. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will also have the ability to perform basic plumbing activities as needed. We are looking for a professional who is customer-focused, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering high-quality work. Key Responsibilities • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems. • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on heating, ventilation, and cooling systems. • Install and replace HVAC components such as compressors, motors, and controls. • Perform basic plumbing activities, such as minor repairs, troubleshooting leaks, and assisting with plumbing-related service calls when necessary. • Maintain accurate service records and communicate clearly with customers about findings and solutions. • Provide excellent customer service and uphold the company’s professional image. • Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and technology. Qualifications • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of HVAC service and maintenance experience. • Certifications: EPA Certification required. NATE Certification preferred. • Plumbing Skills: Basic plumbing knowledge preferred, with a willingness to perform minor plumbing tasks when needed. • Skills: Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, with attention to detail. • License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. • Customer Service: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in tight spaces, and handle tools/equipment safely. ABOUT THE ROLE: The Field Technician reports to the Jersey Shore Laboratory in Waretown, New Jersey. Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license as well as a clean driving record to drive to and from sampling locations using a company vehicle. The starting rate of pay is $17.00 per hour for a full-time, 30-hour workweek, Monday through Friday. WHAT YOU'LL DO: The primary responsibility of the Field Technician is the performance of water tests and sample collections at assigned locations. Testing and sample collection may include municipal wells, city water, private homes, public locations, sewer and water plants, wastewater, and pools. Employees may also set up sample composite machines for next-day sample pickup. Employees are trained in proper and compliant collection techniques as well as transport protocols to a certified laboratory. QUALIFICATIONS: No prior experience is required, but interested candidates should have experience in roles that require detailed procedures, good communication skills with clients, outdoor work, as well as meeting daily deadlines.
