Duties • Prepare and level surfaces for concrete pouring by using hand tools and other equipment. • Mix, pour, and spread concrete according to specifications. • Finish concrete surfaces using various techniques using rake, shovel, hand or power troweling, power screed, floats, • Install forms, rebar, and other material for concrete structures and ensure proper alignment and stability. • Apply caulking and sealant as needed to protect finished surfaces. • Chip, scrape, and grind high spots, ridges, and rough projections to finish concrete using pneumatic chisels, power grinders, etc. • Free hand ramp, curb & gutter. Requirements • Have at least 5 consecutive years of concrete finishing experience!! And provide verifiable work history. • Able to fluently speak, read, and write in English. RESPONSIBILITIES: Advocates safety for everyone on campus by identifying, reporting and addressing when appropriate Interacts daily with diverse staff, students and faculty by providing a welcoming and positive atmosphere Preserves the heritage and unique infrastructure of the University by exceeding industry cleanliness standards Cleans assigned areas as directed and follows operating procedures Responsible for the care and upkeep of resources provided to them by the University Operates various types of equipment used for floor care maintenance such as automatic scrubbers, wet/dry vacuums, carpet extractors, burnishers, etc. Performs various tasks including but not limited to mopping, burnishing, stripping, waxing, refinishing, scrubbing and cleaning different floor types.
