Part-time Janitor / Cleaner / Custodian (KEMMERER)

We are looking for event staff for Formula 1 at Circuit of the America’s here in Austin! The event will take place Friday Oct 17-Sun Oct 19. This event will take place over three days bringing over 100,000 people each day. The positions are outside the track, including parking attendants, ticket scanners, rideshare greeters, and other operations related positions. Duties will include waiving cars, assisting with traffic flow, scanning parking passes and assisting with giving directions. It’s a very easy, outdoor job, that requires standing/walking, and long hours. Shift times vary, starting as early as 5am and run into the evening. Most shift start times are in the 8a-10a range, and are 8-10 hr shifts daily. Pay will be $15/hr, as well as a $100 bonus for staff who work all 3 days of the event (minimum of 8hr shift each day). Full Job Description: Drill Crew Laborer: A Drill Crew Laborer supports directional drill construction teams. Drill Crew Laborer duties include general labor duties related to telecommunications construction as directed by the Foreman/Supervisor. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assist in the loading/unloading of equipment and supplies needed for daily work assignments, setting-up of worksite traffic and safety controls and properly securing work area. Hand dig with shovels, picks, digging bars to expose located utilities, access u/g vaults and pedestals, and complete trenches. Operate jackhammers, air knives, pneumatic boring equipment and powered augers. Place conduit and/or cables in trenches, splice conduit sections (install couplers) as directed, place anchors, pedestals vaults, etc. to complete construction tasks. Fully restore worksite at completion of daily work, refill trenches and holes, tamp soil, replant any plants or shrubs that were disturbed during our construction, place temporary asphalt on streets where excavations have been performed. When required and if appropriately licensed and authorized, drive or operate construction equipment used on the jobsite to complete daily work assignments Clean and maintain all company vehicles and equipment assigned for use.
