We love our 2 flat and have lived in it for 10 years. This is a very rare moment where BOTH units are for rent so if you were hoping to live near family or friends in one flat this is your chance! We are centrally located and a short walk to restaurants, cafes, grocery stores, parks... get the city living with the ease of the suburbs. We participate in the block parties around the corner and we LOVE our kids school. We are a block to the middle school and the elementary school (Beye) is about a 17 minute walk. There is a bus though just a block away. We won't be living far away so very caring and attentive landlords you will have :). When we moved to Oak Park this was supposed to be our temporary space and we loved it so much we ended up buying the building! Here is the scoop: Available: November 1st Utilities: separate Central Heat/Air Shared laundry in basement Locked Storage in laundry room Shared backyard 1 parking spot (covered - last tenant had an electric car and was able to charge in there) Unit 1 ($3800/month): The differences are that we slightly updated the kitchen with extra counter space and closed up a walkway and turned it into a closet. Then we opened up access to the basement and finished out 1/3 of the space with hardwood and a built-in desk/shelf unit - great for working from home! There is some more raw basement space between the fnished/laundry room that we can negotiate access to for this unit (I used it as my studio and loved it and will miss it dearly). There is a nice big deck off the kitchen of this unit too fits a big outdoor sectional nicely. Unit 2 ($3200/month): The photos we are using are of the 1st floor unit (we haven't been able to get good photos of this one). There is a nice sized closet outside the unit at the top of the stairs. The kitchen has a little less counter space and doesn't have the closet instead there is a walkway from the kitchen to the bathroom (so there are 2 entrances to the kitchen). Off the kitchen is a nice patio that would fit a small loveseat. There are 3 raised beds I built that can be shared (or I can just plant flowers for you.) but all the soil is from deep roots project so wonderful soil for growing vegetables. We have been lucky and there haven't been too many pests. Please let me know if you have any questions and which unit you are interested in.
