Job Summary: The primary responsibility of this position is to safely and efficiently package quality products in a manner that is consistent with HP Hood LLC standards. Shift: 6am to 2.30pm; Wednesdays and Sundays off. Start pay rate: $25.48/hr. Essential Functions: Perform all tasks and functions related to operating and cleaning filling equipment. Operate and clean multiple high speed filling machines in a sanitary, efficient, and effective manner. Complete paperwork as per government regulations and HP Hood requirements. Safely operate all assigned equipment following JHA requirements. Consistently meet production quotas. Comply with all policies and guidelines outlined for production and sanitation processes. Participate in cross-training efforts to maximize departmental efficiency. Work in a cooperative manner with managers, supervisors and peers. General: Follow all company safety policies and procedures.  Able to demonstrate knowledge of safety areas reviewed in the safety orientation program. Must be able to adapt to changing production schedules as necessary. Execute assigned duties with minimal supervision. Available for required overtime to support business needs and/or critical situations. Perform assigned duties satisfactorily and in a timely manner. Perform assigned duties following "Good Manufacturing Practices.” Actively participate in special teams representing the production department. Maintain a clean & safe work environment. Perform all other related duties as assigned. Qualifications, Education & Experience: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Reading & writing proficiency (English language) and ability to identify colors. Basic math skills. Ability to work well as part of a team. Good communication skills. Multi-tasked individual. Ability to work independently with little supervision. Forklift certification required. Physical Requirements: Ability to move at a quick pace. Frequently. Position Summary: Analyzes specifications, lays out metal stock, sets up and operates machine tools, and fits and assembles parts to fabricate and repair metalworking dies, cutting tools, jigs and fixtures, gauges, and machinists' hand tools by performing the following duties. Responsibilities: • Study specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models, or descriptions, and visualizes product to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate parts. • Computes dimensions, plans layout, and determines assembly method and sequence of operations. • Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathes, milling machine, and grinder, to machine parts, and verifies conformance of machined parts to specifications. • Verifies dimensions, alignments, and clearances. • Examines standard or previously used dies, tools, and jigs and fixtures, and recommends design modifications regarding construction and function of part. • Develops specifications from general descriptions for specialty tools and draws or sketches design of product. • Must help the team maintain a clean and organized environment. • Work with Maintenance Dept to reproduce machine parts for timely repairs. Skills & Abilities • Understands Controls and Instrumentation, Manufacturing Experience, Mechanical Inspection • Proficient with a variety of machine tools, including, lathes, mills, grinders, etc. • Proficient with the use of both metric and standard measurement systems. • Proficient in the use of precision gauging. • Experience with single hit and progressive dies • Experience working with progressive dies (tight tolerances) in a precision metal forming/stamping plant. • Experience trouble shooting progressive die production issues. • Follow and enforce all safety policies and procedures • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Education & Experience • A minimum 15-20 years’ experience .
