At Mad Science and Crayola Imagine Arts Academy (formerly ART-Ventures for Kids) we are having a blast! In our enrichment programs we build and fly rockets, demonstrate lasers,  explore the states of matter using dry ice, and help children create slime and other polymers. Our art programs foster creativity throug exposure to an amazing variety or art media, tools and techniques. You will inspire the next generation of scientists and artists through our innovative activities that show kids what science and art is really all about.   We are currently looking for energetic individuals to join our growing team to conduct art and science programs during after-school hours. You do not need to be a certified teacher, nor do you need to be a science or art major. Responsibilities: Facilitating a one-hour after-school  enrichment program using a pre-set curriculum (approximately two hours on site) Each session is a high-energy, part entertainment, part education, hands-on class that meets for one-hour each week for 8-12 weeks per semester. Possibility to facilitate birthday parties, stage shows or other events  Requirements: Some experience working with groups of elementary age (4-12) children (such as enrichment instructor, teacher, volunteer or camp counselor). Must be available at least 2-3 weekdays M-Th after 2 pm and be willing to travel (paid) to multiple nearby schools/locations.  Must have a reliable car and drivers license All employees will be subject to a criminal background checks(required) Additional availability Friday or Saturday for weekly equipment exchange meetings Some college experience preferred. Degrees and/or graduate degrees a plus. Science major not required for Mad Science, some art background preferred for ART-ventures/Crayola Imagine Arts.  Have an engaging and outgoing personality May not concurrently be a full time classroom teacher or regular substitute if your day ends after 2PM - you can not get to our programs on time. We train you in the curriculum, and provide all materials. We are looking for a regular babysitter/nanny for two kids aged 4 and 1. We’re seeking after-school childcare about three -four times a week, from 3 pm- 6:30 pm. Key Responsibilities -Perform routine cleaning of cultivation rooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas. -Sweep, mop, vacuum, and disinfect floors and surfaces to maintain a hygienic workspace. -Handle trash removal and recycling, ensuring proper disposal in accordance with state and local guidelines. -Safely handle, mix, and store cleaning chemicals in accordance with manufacturer instructions and company policies. -Sanitize tools, equipment, and high-touch areas to prevent contamination. -Restock cleaning and restroom supplies as needed. -Safely work on ladders to clean vents, walls, light fixtures, and other elevated areas. -Operate a pressure washer for deep-cleaning tasks such as exterior surfaces, equipment, and walkways. -Use basic landscaping equipment (e.g., push mower, trimmer) for occasional outdoor maintenance such as trimming grass or clearing walkways. -Perform seasonal snow removal, including shoveling, salting, and operating small snow-removal equipment to keep entrances and walkways safe. -Assist with intake of orders and unloading freight deliveries, including operating a pallet jack to move heavy shipments and verifying deliveries for accuracy. -Monitor and promptly report any building maintenance issues (leaks, lighting, repairs) to management and the Director of Cultivation. -Follow all safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer and company guidelines. -Assist with occasional deep-cleaning projects and support team members during facility inspections. -Facility Equipment and Contractor Coordination -Perform basic maintenance and upkeep of facility equipment, ensuring that tools, cleaning machines, and other custodial equipment remain in good working order. -Schedule and coordinate with outside contractors for specialized maintenance or repairs when necessary. -Communicate equipment needs or malfunctions promptly to the Director of Cultivation to minimize downtime. Qualifications -Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. -Excellent communication skills are essential, including the ability to provide clear updates and collaborate closely with the Director of -Cultivation and other team members. -Previous janitorial, custodial, or sanitation experience preferred, especially in commercial or industrial settings. -Comfortable and safe working on ladders and using a pressure washer. -Ability to operate basic landscaping equipment, perform snow removal, and safely use a pallet jack for unloading freight. -Experience safely handling cleaning chemicals and working around freight deliveries is a plus. -Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. -Comfortable working in environments with varying humidity and temperature. -Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods. -Knowledge of proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment is a plus. -Ability to pass a background check in compliance with state cannabis regulations.
