SALARY/HOURLY RATE: $28/hr POSITION OVERVIEW: The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for the full cycle of accounts payable functions, including invoice processing, vendor management, payment execution, and reconciliations. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST: • Review and verify vendor invoices for coding accuracy and required approvals. • Enter and upload invoices into the ERP system. • Prepare and process weekly vendor payments. • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly. • Set up new vendor accounts and maintain accurate vendor files. • Assist with 1099 reporting and year-end compliance requirements. • Collaborate with purchasing, receiving, and other internal teams to support efficient operations. • Provide support for month-end close activities and audit documentation. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS FOR THE ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST: • 5+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience. • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, etc.). • Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines. • Knowledge of general accounting principles and ERP systems. • Self-starter with strong initiative and ability to work independently. • Effective communication and problem-solving skills. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS FOR THE ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST: • Experience with Sage 100. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: • Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
