Part time afternoon position (approximately 12 til 6 pm) position in catering kitchen. Four or five days a week. NO WEEKENDS or NIGHTS! Immediate start. Responsibilities include dishwashing pots and pans, weekly deep cleaning, unpacking deliveries, washing floors and generally keeping our back-of-house spotless. This accounts for around half the shift, the rest of the shift involves prep work such as chopping, peeling vegetables and transferring batches of product ( soups, stew, pies etc) into containers, accurately labeling finished product ready for retail sale. Dish and kitchen prep person needed at Fuzzy Cactus in Brookland Park (Northside). Some line cook experience would be helpful but not 100% required. This position will be 3 days per week. Thursday, Friday, Saturday 4-10 pm. The ability to work independently is a plus. Must be able to follow simple food recipes for prep. We are a neighborhood restaurant and venue. Hosting touring music acts weekly. Our menu is a mix of American and southwestern food items. Opportunity for additional hours as needed.
