The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy machinery and equipment. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely, contributing to the overall productivity of our operations. RESPONSIBILITIES Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on heavy equipment. Perform routine maintenance on industrial equipment and vehicles, ensuring compliance with OEM specifications. Conduct assembly and disassembly of components for repairs or replacements. Execute hydraulic system repairs, including brake systems, transmissions, and suspension components. Operate heavy equipment to test functionality post-repair. Maintain accurate records of repairs performed and parts used. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their equipment needs. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety protocols. QUALIFICATIONS 4 Years of fleet maintenance and repair Proven experience as a mechanic with a focus on heavy equipment repair; . Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Familiarity with automotive diagnostics, HVAC systems, diesel engine repair, brake repair, alignment procedures, and tire service. DOT brake certification 609 AC certified is a plus but not required Experience in welding and fabrication is a plus. Ability to lift heavy objects as required by the job duties. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work. Previous experience in service technician roles or similar positions is highly desirable. The Service Technician Position The Service Technician will drive to 20-30 residences daily to conduct regular weekly maintenance including balancing pool water chemistry, and netting and brushing pools. With our 4 day workweek schedule, our technicians value their time away from work with their families and return to work recharged and ready to go. Candidates for this position must have a great verifiable work history, a good driving record, and be in good health with the ability to work in all weather conditions. For this position we would like to see a good job history with a verifiable job history average of at least 1.5 years at each employer. Experience is preferred for this position but not required. Pay rate is $20-23 depending on experience. This is a hybrid position of sorts as the perspective employee would manage basic service calls on commercial only projects, but also complete control prewires of new construction projects, installation of cooper refrigerant line sets and installation of system components such as economizers, power exhaust, etc. This employee will also perform equipment start up; testing & commissioning as required. Minimum 5 years’ experience in COMMERCIAL HVAC systems with package units, splits systems, duct less splits & VRF-VRV systems.
