Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized temporary Part-Time Accounting Assistant to support the financial operations of a local non-profit organization. The ideal candidate will assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities: • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including the preparation and processing of invoices and receipts. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including reconciliations and journal entries. • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes. • Help with donor financial tracking and ensure accurate data is reflected in accounting systems. • Monitor and reconcile bank and credit card transactions on a regular basis. • Address and resolve accounting inquiries from staff and vendors. • Uphold compliance with internal financial policies and nonprofit accounting standards. • Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed. Qualifications: • Associate's degree or equivalent coursework in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor's degree preferred). • Minimum 1+ years of experience in administrative support or accounting support role. • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail. • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
