Striking in its Chevrolet Roman Red finish, this is a delightful and fun car to own and drive. Photo featured in the 2013 Macy's Spring catalogue in Miami Beach where it has lived most of its life. Restored over the years, its recent additions within the last month were a new fuel tank and sending unit, new fuel filter, 2 Rochester rebuilt carburetors with new air filters, 4 new whitewall 175/80/13 radial tires, 4 new Monroe shock absorbers, new Interstate battery, starter, generator, new drive belt, new NGK Spark Plug, new Distibutor cap, point and rotor, new voltage regulator, all gear oils changed with GL4, oil and filter replacement with high zinc/phosphate Shell 10-40, 2 new chrome side view mirrors, new chrome body logos, weatherstrips, and many new miscellaneous parts from Clarks Corvair in Shelburne Falls, MA where virtually every part for these models can be purchased. The body and chassis are in very good condition overall with minimal surface rust on the undercarriage, expected for its age, as is the paint(very nice) and glass. No previous accident damage evident. Attractively fitted with rare wire wheel/spinner stainless steel hubcaps and the Corvair's interior is in excellent condition. Mileage is unknown given the odometer stopped functioning at some point prior to my possession. The speedometer and gauges all work fine and the AM radio actually works. This is a wonderful car, driver quality condition, to own and drive and an affordable classic that needs nothing. It starts on the first turn of the ignition and runs great, and its four speed manual transmission shifts beautifully. Shown by appointment. Sold with a clear Massachusetts title in my name, Massachusetts RMV Proof of Visual Inspection, and Macy's Miami 2013 Advertising brochures featuring the car.
