CDR Maguire (CDR|M) delivers solutions that move people, and we are looking for a Project Manager – Highways to join our Transportation Engineering Division in the Greater Boston area. In this position, you will be responsible for bolstering our Transportation Division and strengthening the CDR|M Highway Department through technical expertise and innovation. Responsibilities of this position include leading, managing, and completing highway design and analysis as well as other roadway engineering efforts. Individuals who have experience in project management and business development will perform the following in this role: Serve as the lead Project Manager on major, local, and regional transportation structure projects. Develop client relationships. Provide technical guidance, senior leadership, and mentor engineering staff. Communicate with staff from a range of disciplines (roadway, traffic, water, planning, etc.). Develop scope/schedule and monitor budget for assigned projects. Perform/prepare and/or check complex highway analysis and design calculations, geometric roadway layouts, construction specifications, and material quantity calculations and reports. Manage Highway related tasks as part of project development, including plan and report production. Participate in professional industry organizations. Travel as business requires, up to 25% Requirements 5+ years of transportation project management experience and 10+ highway engineering experience. Bachelor's in Civil Engineering; Master's degree is highly preferred, Professional Engineer (PE) licensed in the State of Massachusetts is required. Successful history of developing client relationships. Comprehensive theoretical knowledge of roadway related engineering principals Experience with MassDOT design manuals, procedures, specifications, standards, computer programs, applicable design codes, engineering software, and plan presentation format required. Thorough knowledge of AASHTO, FHWA and Local Agency design standards and specifications. Thorough knowledge of highway, right-of-way, drainage, and traffic-related designs. Knowledge of construction techniques for highways and traffic. Experience with preferred highway/traffic engineering client design software programs such as: AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Synchro, Sidra, SignCAD, Etc. Experience with Design-Build (D/B) and Accelerated Bridge Construction (ABC) project delivery. Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team environment. The Proposal Project Manager I will be responsible for ensuring all requests from Request For Proposals (RFPs), including task delegation, proposal process, and submission to the Sales team are comprehensive. They will manage the proposal process to ensure the final proposal deliverables meet company quality standards and all deliverables on schedule. Duties and Responsibilities: Coordinate the collection and accumulation of cost, scheduling, and performance elements from functional departments Produce professionally written proposal content that clearly articulates the organizations value proposition, coordinate proper governance and proposal sign off Improve proposal writing results by evaluating, recommending, and re-designing processes, approach, coordination, and templates from time to time Review RFPs and ensure the Proposal team is prepared to get all needed details during the initial program meetings with the Sales team Research and analyze historical data and develop pricing models to support proposal efforts Develop reports as needed to support analytical and pricing efforts Initiate process improvements to enhance productivity and accuracy Manage the coordination and influencing of proposal content to ensure the final proposal deliverables meet quality standards and RFP deadlines Own the proposal/pricing worksheet content from RFP through customer delivery. Content to include but not limited to, all customer requests from pricing, configuration, compliance matrix. Review the pricing worksheet and proposal documentation to ensure correct priorities are maintained Meet proposal deadlines by establishing priorities and due dates set by the head of Global Sales Work with Finance, Sales and other internal teams to create and standardize the ERP pricing worksheets, customer creation and pricing process Organize reoccurring meetings with the Digital services team and begin creating processes for billing/service tracking for advertising and 3rd party apps Organize reoccurring meetings with the Content team to discuss CSAs and billing/service tracking May participate as an active member of the contract writing or negotiating team Requirements Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience in a related field 1-3+ years of experience within a sales environment Experience with supporting sales operations 1+ years of experience with creating or editing proposals Technically astute in understanding electrical and mechanical systems Experience working with CRM and ERP systems, D365 highly preferred Experience with proposal updates Excellent attention to detail Experience in technical writing Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) Benefits The starting pay range for this position is $57,700 to $69,300 per year however, the base pay offered may vary depending on the level of the position, skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location.
