At Fingers Crossed, you will have the opportunity to get your hands dirty and participate in the entire process of transforming grapes into wine. A typical workday includes equipment sanitation, grape sorting, fermentation, barrel prep, pump overs and punch downs. The successful candidate must be dependable, self-motivated, work well both individually as well as in a team environment, possess a strong work ethic and attention to detail. This is a physically demanding job, and applicants should be able to lift 50lbs, climb ladders, and work long shifts standing up. During harvest (October-November), one must be available to work nights and weekends as needed. After harvest concludes, we return to a typical M-F (40hr) work week. While previous experience in winemaking is encouraged, a positive and hard-working attitude is the only requirement - we are happy to train and teach you everything needed to grow and succeed with us! DUTIES + RESPONSIBILITIES - Participate in all aspects of the winemaking process from grape to bottle, cleaning, packing and shipping. QUALIFICATIONS - Familiarity in a winery is encouraged but not required. - Forklift certification is valued but not required. - Bilingual is great.
