Woundlocal is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Backend Developer to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in helping us build and enhance the technology that supports our innovative mobile wound care practice. In this role, you will contribute to projects like enhancing our patient intake workflow by building scalable API integrations between Charm and Salesforce, ensuring seamless data flow and real-time updates. You will be collaborating with an experienced team of developers and a dedicated Product Manager to align feature development with clinical and operational goals. The Senior Backend Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems that ensure high performance and responsiveness to requests from the frontend. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, while also maintaining existing functionalities and improving overall system architecture. In this role, you will focus on Kubernetes ecosystem development, optimizing and enhancing the underlying architecture, integrating opensource solutions, and improving Kubernetes cluster capabilities. You will directly contribute to the development of the underlying Kubernetes cluster architecture, driving system performance improvements and scalability enhancements. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Design and develop Kubernetes functionalities and modules to enhance cluster scalability, performance, and stability. Integrate and develop open-source solutions within the Kubernetes ecosystem to enhance features and build a more robust platform. Provide a more efficient platform for development teams, supporting automation deployment, monitoring, and failure recovery features. Assist development teams in solving technical issues related to Kubernetes' underlying functions and provide development support. Participate in Kubernetes cluster lifecycle management, including setup, maintenance, scaling, and optimization. Collaborate with operations teams to ensure the stable operation of the clusters and assist in solving complex configuration and troubleshooting issues. Design and implement Kubernetes management solutions across multiple cloud platforms, supporting seamless multi-cloud architecture integration. Continuously drive improvements in the cluster architecture, enhance automation, and reduce operational costs. Requirements REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS At least 3 years of Kubernetes development experience, with a solid understanding of Kubernetes architecture, components, and operational principles, capable of developing and optimizing the underlying technology stack. Extensive experience in Kubernetes cluster development, able to solve deep technical issues related to underlying architecture. Proficiency in containerization technologies (such as Docker, Helm), and experience with integrating and developing open-source tools. Experience with large-scale Kubernetes clusters and performance optimization, with hands-on experience in underlying system development. Experience with managing Kubernetes clusters in multi-cloud environments and designing crosscloud solutions. Proficient in automation, CI/CD processes, and promoting efficient automated deployment and integration within Kubernetes clusters. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to address technical challenges and improve system architecture. Good communication skills, able to collaborate clearly with teams and other departments to drive technical improvements. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Familiarity with service meshes (e.g., Istio) and monitoring systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) development and integration. Certifications such as CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator) or CKAD (Certified Kubernetes Application Developer) are a plus.
