Press Operator, Web Offset (NE Portland, Oregon)

Signature Graphics is a locally-owned, full-service heatset and coldset commercial printer with direct mail advertising and graphic design businesses located in Portland, Oregon and Spokane, Washington with approximately 150 employees. Since opening in 1984, Signature has become one of the largest printers in the Pacific Northwest, and we are currently looking for a Press Operator to operate our Coldset and Heatset Offset Web Printing presses at our Portland plant. The Press Operator operates the Coldset and Heatset Web Offset Printing presses with make-readies, running press equipment operations, performing quality control functions and enforcing the safety rules. This position assists in directing the work activities of the press crew to ensure productivity, quality and safety goals are met. COMPENSATION: Non-exempt (hourly) wage BENEFITS: Medical, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending account (FSA), short- and long-term disability, paid time off (PTO), 401(k) plan BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Must have at least 5 years experience as a Press Operator on multi-web, four-color coldest and/or heatset offset presses Must follow safety guidelines at all times Must regularly lift and/or move 25 to 50 pounds Successful completion of a pre-employment background check Basic proficiency in English OTHER DUTIES Other duties as assigned including quality control and cleaning of work area Some overtime may be needed to support production deadlines..
