Automotive Mechanics Needed! Job Summary: The Automotive Mechanic will modify cars and trucks in a prototype environment, performing a wide range of diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Maintain vehicle functional condition by working off repair orders or leader instructions and conducting inspections. • Repair mechanical and electrical system malfunctions and replace parts and components. • Read, interpret, and follow service procedures. • Maintain vehicle records by entering notes, service, and repair orders. • Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, calling for repairs. • Participate in daily shop organization and clean-up. Education and Experience (required): • High school diploma or equivalent. • For Mechanic II, 4 years of previous experience is required. • For Mechanic III, 8 years of previous experience required {mentor and oversees team members) • Mechanical ability and ability to operate shop equipment. • Good attention to detail and organizational skills. • Able to work independently and as part of a team. • Has own tools with a rolling toolbox and is able to work overtime and weekends. • Ability to read, comprehend and execute written procedures. Education and Experience (preferred): • Certificate in Automotive Technology or related. • National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification(s). • State Mechanic Certification(s). • Valid driver’s license. Full Time - Monday - Friday 9 am - 5:30 pm (no weekends). We are a family owned, well established business selling and installing truck accessories, truck caps, commercial unfitting and aftermarket lighting. Duties include the installation of the products we sell. Including truck caps, running boards, tonneau covers and related items. Applicant should have automotive background with mechanical or shop background. Applicant should be passionate about the automotive aftermarket, friendly, have a good attitude and be dependable. Our compensation package includes a hourly wage of $22-$25 hourly based on industry experience and performance. We also provide a significant contribution to health insurance, 401k retirement plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Our average tenure is 15 years.
