ShareKent, WA scale shop is looking for a self-motivated individual with a CDL license willing to learn a good trade, and be part of a team that exceeds our customer’s expectations. We are a small business located in Kent, WA doing business here, and in southeast Alaska. We install, and service all types of scales from small grocery scales to truck scales, to fish plant hoppers. Looking for someone who has mechanical, electronic, and computer aptitude to work in a small shop here and travel to SE Alaska for periods of time. Will be paid $2.00 above regular wage for Alaska travel/ work (company expenses paid). If interested, please send in your resume. Duties: Installation, inspection, calibration, repair and maintenance of all types of weighing and measuring equipment. Complete service documents, and test report for review with customers and management. Hours just a tad flexible for the right person, but typically regular hours between 7:30 am - 4 pm. Requirements: Must be able to lift, and maneuver 50 lbs. CDL desired. Must be willing to work overtime (winter overtime 2-3 mnths. approx. mandatory) as required to satisfy customer needs. Basic knowledge of mechanical maintenance, and electronics with ability to work outdoors for long periods. Working knowledge of volt meters. Occasional travel out of town within Western Washington, and seasonal travel to SE Alaska. Benefits: Competitive hourly rate ($24.00 to start) with overtime DOE.
