Job Summary: Under the direction of the Assignments Supervisor, the Flagperson protects personnel and equipment while working on or near the tracks. The Flagperson uses various types of equipment, such as flags, whistles, discs, lights and two-way radios to ensure the safe passage of trains. The Flagperson duties primarily consist of three assignments, Switch Tender, Watchperson and Flagperson. The Switch Tender manipulates switches and signals train operators when proper switch alignment is provided. The Watchperson is charged with monitoring approaching trains and alerting work crews to clear the track of men and equipment. Full-time Job. Experienced with driving a van or long vehicle. Auto insurance rates force me to hire someone who has been driving for more than ten-fifteen years. Have a clean driving record. Weekends required. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and be able to climb stairs. No tickets and no at-fault accidents for more than 3 years. $18.50 an hour + tips. This job will start out with 3 10-hour shifts. Additional hours can be given by working in the laundromat. We need a driver that is willing to work when someone calls in sick or on vacation. You must be available both during the week and on the weekends. You might have the opportunity for overtime. Need someone responsible who wants a job for a long time.
