Notifies management immediately of any material changes affecting the status of Individuals or Family Homes. • Provides crisis management support and rotating on call coverage to Individuals & Providers. • Provides excellent customer service and response timeliness to stakeholders such as Individuals, families, Regional Center, and Family Home Providers. • Develops and maintains working relationships with all Individuals, families, funding sources and regulatory agencies, as appropriate, and monitors their satisfaction with services. • Liaises with consultants such as behaviorists, nurses, therapists, psychologists, and other specialists to ensure service needs of Individuals are met. • Participates in or conducts training as required. • Assist Individuals with transportation and moving as needed. • Functions as a Social Worker (Certification Specialist Emphasis) as required during development and transition stages. • Performs other duties as assigned. May work on special assignments in addition to normal job functions. Requirements: Education and/or Experience Related Master’s Degree preferred or Bachelor's Degree plus one to two years related experience preferred; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Looking to fill weekend graveyard/swing shift positions. JOB SUMMARY: The AOD Support Staff provides support and supervision for Cache Creek Lodge Residential clients. This is an essential role in the life of recovering addicts and is a key role for modeling appropriate behavior and mindset to those entering into recovery. Support Staff provide a host of entry-level therapeutic interactions and have a good understanding of recovery principles and the 12-step process. Support Staff also play a key role in the interaction of the 12-step communities, volunteers, professional staff, and the community at large. DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS: Incumbents in this position must demonstrate the ability to multi-task and make sound decisions in regard to the health, welfare and safety of our clients and other staff. They are trusted with the privacy and confidentiality of our clients and fellow staff members. They require the utmost integrity and honesty as they often work and carry out tasks without direct on-site supervision. They are responsible to know and implement the Cache Creek Lodge Client Handbook and the Policies and Procedures of the agency. Support Staff must be comfortable interacting with and supporting Clinical Staff in addressing serious addictive, criminal, and mental health issues presented by our clients. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Read previous shift notes. Sign off in Logbook that you read shift notes. 2. Monitor men to get ready for meals. Ensure tables are cleaned after meals. 3. Monitor chore time. Walk through Facility making sure chores are being done correctly and all clients are participating. (mornings only) 4. Monitor medications as needed at appropriate times. 5. Log all medications into Medication Storage/Disposal Logbook, specifically news medications. Create client sign-in sheet for Client Medications Sign-ln Book. 6. Monitor clients' KP duties. Ensure that KP chores are being completed before KP clients go outside to smoke or socialize. 7. Assist Counselors with groups. Give citations for breaking rules such as leaving group, eating/drinking during group, cross-talking, etc. 8. Monitor Central Office and hand out paperwork as requested by clients-passes, etc. 9. Direct clients to Counselors for requests to use phones or obtain appointments for medical issues, Clothes Closet referrals, etc. 10. Whenever clients are breaking House Rules, give a citation to the client and write the Treatment Assignment in the T.A. Book and in the Shift Notebook. 11. Complete any additional duties assigned by the Program Director. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Be at least 18 years of age and possess at a minimum a High School Diploma or its equivalent. Monitors must be: A. Qualified and trained to recognize the symptoms and signs of substance use disorders and have the ability to respond to drug overdose and provide documentation used to meet this requirement within 30 days of hire. B. Trained in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and the administration of First Aid Services, TB Test, and Background Clearance.
